only the canvas remembers
the percussive embers of paint-brushes
cooking portraits of hungry flames*

the canvas remembers
the festivals of raging colours
& the colour of rage

only the canvas remembers
the dizzy drums of today’s dance
burning tomorrow’s paintings

who will teach
the present canvas
how we remember ourselves?

I pray we listen when the canvas shouts our names
coz i am you & you are me. we are the eternal exhibitions of
ART LOVE SUPREME’ in life’s gallery.
