Music in the Heart

Luca loved music, particularly jazz. He also played flute and saxophone, he particularly loved improvising. There were many nights of jamming with others in the Arte Moris community and the community received a donation of a number of large drums (djembe) from his German friend Harald who also spent some time teaching at Arte Moris. The full moon drumming nights at Arte Moris were legendary. These nights would sometimes extend to the local beaches and are remembered fondly by all those who attended them. Luca maintained his love of music to the end of his life, jamming with musicians in his last home Viterbo near Rome on many occasions.
